Equine Podiatry

The Equine Hoof

The horse has an amazing ability to adapt to its environment, and going unshod means the hoof is allowed to adapt, and heal, naturally. We work with that natural ability to get the best hoof possible under your horse through a scientific and holistic approach, combining an established trimming technique with our understanding of how environmental factors influence the horses hoof condition.

Hoof friendly horse management

Over the last few decades, many professionals have proven time and again that horses can work without shoes, sometimes to a very high level. This is achieved through establishing hoof-friendly horse management practices and identifying and dealing with any factors that are affecting the hoof condition, such as diet and turnout regime

Remedial Trimming

Horses with laminitis, navicular and other hoof related conditions are trimmed using a remedial approach, and it is our goal to improve the comfort and aid relief and healing in these cases.

Mutual trust

We believe a positive experience is the best way for a nervous horses to gain acceptance of having their feet handled without getting stressed, by using sympathetic non-aggressive techniques.
